South Coast Nursing Homes, Summer time and the living is…
Summer garden parties are something of an institution at South Coast Nursing Homes and this year was no different with garden parties happening across all our homes in Sussex, below is just a flavour of the brilliant events our homes put on.
Sunshine in the Garden at Abundant Grace
Everyone celebrated summer in style at our nursing home in East Sussex, Abundant Grace. There was music, dancing and laughter in ‘abundance’ all enhanced by a big helping of sunshine. Not to be outshone the catering team did an amazing job to provide a fantastic spread. It was a hugely successful way to celebrate the summer and bring everyone together not just residents and staff but relatives too.
Teamwork in Worthing
The shared gardens between our homes in Worthing, Berkeley Lodge and the Poets, looked resplendent in the sunshine for their summer garden party. It was a chance for residents, staff and relatives of both homes to come together for fun in the sun. There was musical accompaniment, balloons, bunting and smiles as far as the eye could see. The amazing teams at both homes certainly pulled out all the stops to make sure everyone had a great time. The one thing they couldn’t’ guarantee was the weather but thankfully they were blessed with blue skies.
Elegant Eastridge Manor
This year’s summer fete at Eastridge Manor our dementia specialist nursing home in Bolney, was a sun kissed triumph. Alongside the band, there was a bouncy castle, circus skills training, classic cars and of course a raffle. Truly something for everyone. The grounds which wrap around the nursing home looked picture perfect and everyone had a fabulous time. Friends, relatives, staff and residents enjoyed an afternoon filled with laughter and fun. Food was supplied fresh from the BBQ and lovingly prepared by our Executive Chef Langton Mavuka. The entire team at Eastridge worked so hard and did a wonderful job to create a day full of memories.
