An exciting opportunity has arisen within the South Coast Nursing Home group, for a Nursing Home Manager.

Berkeley Lodge II is a brand-new Nursing home and we are looking to recruit an experienced RGN or RMN Registered Nurse, with experience in working in a managerial or supervisory role in a care home setting to lead and develop this brand-new home in Worthing, West Sussex.

Position and reward for successful candidate:

  • A permanent, full-time contract of 40 hours per week
  • Usual working hours will be weekday day shifts, with some flexibility required for quality monitoring purposes, on-call duties etc due to the seniority of the role
  • A great annual salary of £50000 – £60000 (depending on experience), which is equivalent to Band 8 rates of pay in the NHS

As RGN/RMN Nurse Home Manager, you will coordinate and oversee the day to day running of the home, ensuring a cost-effective and efficient service that doesn’t compromise on quality of care or life. You will deliver effective clinical leadership and line management to the clinical and non-clinical teams in addition to managing budgets and resources.

What the home requires in a manager:

  • NMC Registered Adult Nurse/RGN or Mental Health Nurse/RMN
  • Ideally experience of working as CQC Registered Manager specialising in dementia and nursing care for the elderly and frail. Applicants with substantial experience working at Deputy Manager level may also be considered
  • A strong leader, who is able to motivate, lead and support clinical and non-clinical staff
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and understanding of CQC essential standards and all legislation relevant to a nursing home
  • Financially aware and able to manage and adhere to budgets

As a Home Administrator/Receptionist you will support the Home Manager in all aspects of home administration.

More about the role:

You will be providing administrative support to the home so that our team can focus on providing high quality care to our residents and ensure the smooth running of all administrative functions within the home.

The reception/administration duties include email and postal correspondence, handling telephone enquiries, receiving visitors, client admission and occupancy records, monitoring of Resident accounts, financial management tasks.

You will also be responsible for administration and monitoring of the time and attendance system and the accurate and timely processing of payroll and HR information (including new starters, changes, leavers, sickness and other absence) so that employees are paid correctly.

More about you:

  • Ideally you will have experience of working in an administration role in a busy environment and used to multi-tasking and prioritisation.
  • Have strong communication skills both oral and written, along with excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with residents, visitors to the home and staff.
  • It would be beneficial to have experience of working in accounts/payroll and HR.
  • Confident approach in using Microsoft Office and In house packages
