Berkeley Lodge Nursing Home, providing Nursing Care and Specialist Dementia Care in Worthing.

Berkeley Lodge Nursing Home, providing Nursing Care and Specialist Dementia Care in Worthing.

Berkeley Lodge, a new purpose-built nursing home, reopened in June 2010 and has been entirely redesigned to provide the most luxurious accommodation in nursing care in West Sussex. The home recently benefitted from a redesigned internal layout to help our residents living with dementia.

The team at Berkeley Lodge strive to understand the individual needs of each of our residents and working together with families, it is our aim to design a package of care that is specifically designed to enable our residents to feel enriched, comfortable and able to enjoy every aspect of life in their new home.

The home has 65 bedrooms with excellent quality furniture and soft furnishings. Every private bedroom has a large HD TV with Sky viewing available on request directly through Sky customer services. Climate control allows each resident to control the ambient temperate in their own room.

A private telephone, telephone number and Wi-Fi internet connection are ready to use on the day of admission.

Berkeley Lodge has a very pretty walled garden which is cleverly planted and designed to be interesting and colourful all year round. The gardens can be reached by the large and attractive conservatory and some garden bedrooms also have access directly via their private patio doors.

The lounges and activities are popular with many residents who enjoy daily stimulation and varied activities and entertainment. There are dining rooms on each floor where fresh, home cooked meals are served.

The hairdressing salon and hydrotherapy bathing suites are also very popular and used frequently by our residents.

Please do get in touch with one of the team to arrange a visit to see for yourself. You’ll aways be sure of a warm welcome and expert advice.

Fundraising and Fun at Berkeley Lodge Nursing Home

Berkeley Lodge Nursing Home Fundraising At South Coast Nursing Homes we want to ensure that…

My wife has been in Berkeley Lodge Nursing Home for over six years. There has been inevitable changes in staff during this time, but I have always found management and staff thoroughly professional, businesslike and friendly. My wife has been cared for extremely well, during this lengthy time. An example very recently, was that my wife suddenly deteriorated, in the middle of the night. Her condition was evaluated by the duty nurse, and stabilized. The nurse phoned me and explained what had occurred and how it had been dealt with, to my entire satisfaction. First thing, the following morning, the manager, recently appointed, phoned me and updated me on what the Doctor had reported to her. Everything very efficient as one would expect from a top class Nursing Home.
My wife has recovered to some degree and continues to receive excellent care.

Berkeley Lodge is a lovely home. My mother has settled in okay. The manager and staff are all very kind, helpful and supportive and friendly.

S M (Daughter of Resident)18 December 2023

After one year, my wife has received first-class service from all excellent staff in purpose-built, spacious accommodations with many communal areas. From research of other homes, Berkeley Lodge is recommended and is excellent value for money.

W H (Husband of Resident)4 Jan 2024

My mum has severe dementia and is unable to communicate. The staff have treated her with unfailing kindness for a long time and have been excellent in communicating with my sister and me.
