Pentlands Nursing Home in West Worthing has thirty-two bedrooms each with a private bathroom. The rooms are all beautifully appointed with HD TV, access to telephone and discreet nursing beds and equipment. Pentlands has a delightful lounge featuring a glass ceiling for light and warmth, this faces directly on to the pretty rear garden. The lounge has a dining area and activities corner where residents enjoy daily pastimes and entertainment.
Pentlands Nursing Home cares for all types of residents with clinical needs. The home is recognised and qualified to provide Palliative Care for end-of-life residents. The matron at Pentlands is exceptionally highly qualified in caring for such patients and the comfortable home environment provides a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere for both the residents and their families. The entire team are highly trained and very experienced.

“Welcome to Pentlands. I am Debbie Hathaway, the Registered Manager. I have had the privilege of working for South Coast Nursing Homes for nearly 30 years, and I have proudly served as the manager here at Pentlands for the last 25.
Pentlands holds a special place in our local history as one of the first nursing homes established in Worthing. Over the decades, we have built a strong reputation for providing excellent, compassionate care – a standard we maintain every day through our exceptional staff.
I am supported by a dedicated care team, many of whom have been with us for between 10 and 30 years. Staff retention ensures a stable, well-run environment where our residents are truly treated like family.
At the heart of our service is expert clinical care, anchored by a highly skilled nursing team. We are fully equipped to specialise in a variety of complex needs, providing tailored support for general nursing, Parkinson’s disease, stroke recovery, Motor Neurone Disease (MND), and Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Furthermore, we are deeply honoured to have built a reputation for delivering sensitive, dignified palliative care.
Our home is ideally situated to keep residents connected to the local area. We are located close to shops and the beautiful Worthing seafront. For visiting loved ones, we are incredibly easy to reach, positioned right on a main bus route and just a short distance from West Worthing train station.
