On 30th September, the team and residents at Pentlands Nursing Home gathered for a truly memorable occasion: celebrating the birthday of our wonderful resident, Michael!
Michael served as the Mayor of Worthing from 2015 to 2016, so to mark his special day, the Pentlands team decided to pull out all the stops and organise a surprise visit worthy of his civic legacy.
The highlight of the day came when Bob Smytherman, the official Town Crier of Worthing (and himself a former Mayor), made a grand appearance, bringing all the traditional cheer and ceremony to the celebration.
Joining Bob were several other former Worthing Mayors, who all dropped by to share fond memories, toast to Michael’s health, and celebrate with his fellow residents and the Pentlands team. It was a wonderful afternoon filled with plenty of birthday cheer. Happy Birthday Michael!
