Berkeley Lodge is one of the most sought after dementia care homes in Worthing. The home provides nursing care along with specialist care for older people experiencing dementia.
Berkeley Lodge, a new purpose-built nursing home, reopened in June 2010 and has been entirely redesigned to provide the most luxurious accommodation in nursing care in West Sussex. The home recently benefitted from a redesigned internal layout to help our residents living with dementia.
The team at Berkeley Lodge strive to understand the individual needs of each of our residents and working together with families, it is our aim to design a package of care that is specifically designed to enable our residents to feel enriched, comfortable and able to enjoy every aspect of life in their new home.
The home has 64 bedrooms with excellent quality furniture and soft furnishings. Every private bedroom has a large HD TV with Sky viewing available on request directly through Sky customer services. Climate control allows each resident to control the ambient temperate in their own room.
A private telephone, telephone number and Wi-Fi internet connection are ready to use on the day of admission.
Berkeley Lodge has a very pretty walled garden which is cleverly planted and designed to be interesting and colourful all year round. The gardens can be reached by the large and attractive conservatory and some garden bedrooms also have access directly via their private patio doors.
The lounges and activities are popular with many residents who enjoy daily stimulation and varied activities and entertainment. There are dining rooms on each floor where fresh, home cooked meals are served.
The hairdressing salon and hydrotherapy bathing suites are also very popular and used frequently by our residents.

Visiting is welcome at any time. Well behaved family pets may be brought to visit. There are always regular activities and entertainers, to which you are very welcome to attend, no invitation required.

Admission Information
- Ages 65+.
- Nursing Care (Single): From £1,847 per week. (Please note: these prices are a guide only; contact Berkley Lodge to determine the exact price for your specific requirements.)
- NHS Funded Nursing Care (FNC): Did you know you could be eligible for NHS Funded Nursing Care? The current weekly rate of £267.68 is paid directly to the home to help cover nursing costs, lowering your overall fees. Have questions? - There are no extra charges except for newspapers, hairdressing, and chiropody. A private phone line is included at no additional cost.
