Fernbank Residential Care Home is designed to care for the needs of those who wish to be in pleasant surroundings, with the assurance of high-quality cuisine and the attendance of helpful and caring staff throughout the day and night.
A substantial extension was completed in the spring of 2017 and this has increased the number of rooms to 45. Facilities added at the same time include further lounges with an additional patio and herb garden, a hairdressing salon and enlarged dining area. Most rooms are en suite and all are decorated and furnished to a high standard. Every room has a large HD TV, Wi Fi and a free private telephone. The home is proud of its cuisine produced with fresh ingredients from a modern kitchen. An internal court yard is an attractive venue for afternoon tea with home-made cakes. Fernbank has gardens to the front and rear with attractive herbaceous borders.
The care received in our home is provided by trained experienced care assistants. Personal care is planned in conjunction with the resident and their families. We pride ourselves on promoting independence and individuality.
Family and friends are also welcome to stay for lunch or afternoon tea in the private dining room. Adjacent to the dining room are the two lounges that are used daily by the residents, creating a pleasant communal atmosphere.
Please do get in touch with one of the team to arrange a visit to see for yourself. You’ll aways be sure of a warm welcome and expert advice.
