Rookwood – Christmas crafting fun

 In Rookwood, SCNH News

Residents at Rookwood had a lovely time taking part in a Christmas photoshoot with a festive backdrop.

Michelle, one of the activity team, then helped the residents to use their photographs to make personalised cards which were sent out to family members.

A smaller version was also printed and placed inside clear Christmas baubles.

Michelle also spent time talking with residents and collecting their individual Christmas memories, some shared funny stories, others shared memories of Christmas during the war, and some spoke of the things they looked forward to and their favourite carols. These memories were then all typed up and placed inside each resident’s bauble with their picture. The baubles are easy to open so the memories can be taken out and read.

The baubles have all been put on display in the home for everyone to enjoy, whilst the residents decide if they would like to keep them or give them to their families as a gift.

The residents all had a wonderful time creating these items and family members have been over joyed to receive their personalised cards.
